Kool And The Gang — американская джаз-группа, играющая в разных музыкальных направлениях — соул, ритм-н-блюз, джаз, фанк и диско. Была образована в Джерси-Сити в 1964 году.
В ее состав входили: Роберт Кул Белл (р. 8 октября 1950, Янгстаун, Огайо; бас-гитара), Роберт «Спайк» Миккенс; труба), Рональд «Зе Кэптен» Белл (р. 1 октября 1951, Янгстаун, Огайо; саксофон, клавишные) и Деннис Д. Т. Томас (р. 9 февраля 1951, Джерси-Сити, Нью Джерси; саксофон). Позже к ним присоединились Чарлз Клейдс Смит (р. 6 сентября 1948, Джерси-Сити; гитара) и Фанки Джордж Браун (р. 5 января 1949, Джерси-Сити; барабан). Позднее состав группы менялся.
Ранним направлением группы было сочетание стилей соул и фанк. В 1979 году в группе появился вокалист Джеймс «Джей Ти» Тейлор, котрый стал несомненным лидером группы. В феврале того же 1979 года группа получила премию Грэмми-1979 за участие в записи лучшего альбома года («Saturday Night Fever», на котором звучала их песня «Open Sesame»).
